The Chinese American Academic and Professional Society (CAAPS), established in 1975, is a registered
501(C)(3) not-for-profit and nonpolitical organization with the purposes of:

A.  Promoting fellowship and cooperation in scholarly and professional activities, as well as encouraging and
supporting educational undertakings conducive to the interests, concerns and well-being of its membership;

B.  Encouraging and facilitating the exchange, enhancement, and application of the skills and expertise of its
membership in the interest of advancing scientific knowledge, social and human values; and

C.  Encouraging and promoting cultural understanding and communications among Chinese Americans in
general, and with other ethnic groups in American and Chinese Communities elsewhere.
